PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Undefeated, world-ranked heavyweight contender Dainier Pero will take center stage on Saturday night, January 17, as he headlines a seven-bout professional boxing card at the historic 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
The event is promoted by King’s Promotions, continuing the company’s long-standing tradition of showcasing rising talent in the City of Brotherly Love.
Dainier Pero Continues Rise in the Heavyweight Division
The 26-year-old Miami-based heavyweight, originally from Camagüey, Cuba, enters the bout with a pristine 11-0 record, including eight knockouts, and is currently ranked No. 7 by the WBA.
Pero brings a decorated amateur pedigree into the professional ranks. He captured gold medals at the 2019 Pan American Games and the 2016 Youth World Championships, and also represented Cuba at the 2020 Olympic Games.
Now a four-year professional promoted by Boxlab Promotions, Pero has steadily built momentum with notable victories over James Evans (7-1-1), Walter Burns (8-2), and most recently a 10-round unanimous decision over Cesar Navarro (13-2) on May 9, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.
January 17 marks another crucial step toward heavyweight contention as Pero continues his climb toward a world title opportunity.
