Former South African pacer Dale Steyn Steps down as SRH bowling Coach ahead of IPL 2025 and is set to work with Sunrisers Eastern Cape in South Africa’s premier domestic T20 competition.

On the 17th of October, Dale Steyn parted ways with the Sunrisers Hyderabad, he announced this through a post on X (Twitter). In the post, Dale Steyn thanked Sunrisers Hyderabad for having him on their supporting staff, said he would not continue as a bowling coach in IPL 2025, and stated that he will maintain his association with Sunrisers Eastern Cape in South Africa’s top domestic T20 league.

Dale Steyn made his IPL debut in IPL 2008, during his IPL career, Dale Styne played for several IPL teams, such as Deccan Chargers, Gujarat Lions, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

During his IPL career, this right-arm fast bowler picked up 97 wickets with his effective bowling in 95 matches with an impressive bowling economy of 6.92. On the other hand, this 41-year-old veteran pacer scored 167 runs in 93 games with a batting average of 7.59 and a strike rate of 104.38, before joining Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise supporting staff.

After joining Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, Dale Steyn has decided to resign from his position as the team’s bowling coach. This decision comes after Steyn had previously informed the franchise of his unavailability for the last IPL season, which resulted in him not participating in the coaching staff during that time. Steyn’s departure marks a significant change for the team as they look to restructure their coaching lineup ahead of the upcoming season.
