Tensions between Dana White and Eddie Hearn escalated this week after the UFC president fired back at criticism over Zuffa Boxing’s signing of Conor Benn.
White dismissed Hearn’s complaints about the move, going as far as to label the Matchroom promoter a “p*ssy” amid the growing rivalry between the two promotional entities. He responded to Hearn at his UFC Houston post-fight scrum.
“I think you saw this week I am really beating up babies. Is there a bigger p*ssy than Eddie Hearn?,” White asked reporters including Cageside Press.
“Is there a bigger p*ssy than Eddie Hearn? This guy’s supposed to be a friend. F*cking crying? He’s (Benn) going to make more money, and he (Hearn) had the right to match it. He could have matched it.
According to reports, Zuffa Boxing signed Benn to a one-fight, eight-figure contract rather than a multi-fight deal. Hearn has claimed he attempted to match the offer made to Benn but said the boxer would not return his calls, a claim White did not hesitate to address.
“What a crock of sh*t. Yeah, we’re literally beating up babies,” he said.
