Danhausen Uses ‘Curse’ and Pyro During WWE In-Ring Debut Match on April 10 SmackDown

Danhausen had one of the wildest moments on the April 10, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown, and it ended with a pyro blast and a win.

The SmackDown crowd in San Jose got a big reaction when Danhausen came out with about thirty minutes left in the show. Kit Wilson followed, but the reaction clearly favored the Very Nice, Very Evil star.

Once the match started, Danhausen showed he could do more than just entertain. He surprised fans with solid wrestling early on, even taking time to mess with The Miz at ringside before Kit Wilson blindsided him to take control.

The match stayed competitive, with Danhausen fighting back and staying alive in the middle of the ring. Then things took a strange turn when Kit Wilson climbed to the top rope, looking to finish things.

That’s when Danhausen delivered one of his signature moments. Danhausen appeared to “curse” Wilson from the mat, and right after that, a pyro blast suddenly went off on the top rope. The blast startled Wilson and caused him to lose his footing. As he came down, Danhausen caught him with a big boot to score the win.

After the match, The Miz tried to sneak up from behind Danhausen, but the lights dropped, creating chaos at ringside. When the lights came back, Danhausen had already escaped and celebrated his win.

This moment gave Danhausen another big spotlight on SmackDown and showed that WWE is leaning into his unique style while still letting him pick up victories in the ring.

What did you think about Danhausen’s pyro-assisted win — was it a fun moment or too over the top? Let us know your thoughts and drop your feedback.
