Darby Allin replaced by another AEW pillar in Continental Classic

Darby Allin is out of the Continental Classic tournament.

On commentary during AEW Collision (Dec. 6, 2025), it was explained that Allin is not medically cleared to compete due to injury. Another of the Four Pillars will step up in his place. “Jungle” Jack Perry is the man for the job.

Allin cut a promo outside about the unfortunate circumstances. He thought he was winning the war against the Death Riders. In reality, it was only the battle. The Death Riders are winning the war, because they are wrestling week in and week out. Allin was scared for the first time in his career when he felt his legs go out against Kevin Knight. Allin was rushed to the hospital. The AEW doctors made the call to protect him from himself. As for Allin’s future, he doesn’t know.

The good news for Perry is that Allin only had one match so far (loss to Knight). Jungle Man still has plenty of opportunity to make a run. His remaining four matches in the Gold League will be against Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada, Pac, and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Perry is an underdog in every single one of those matchups, but that’s why they play the game.
