Looking ahead to Deontay Wilder vs Chisora, Allen discussed the decline of “The Bronze Bomber:”

“The second and third Fury fights took so much out of him. He’s a tough f***er, Wilder. I think it’s very underestimated how tough he is. He’s hard as nails. But them two fights were very hard.

“For me, it comes down to who’s got what left. I personally don’t think Deontay Wilder’s got anything left. People always said he couldn’t box. Of course, he can box. He’s got a good jab; he’s very awkward. And obviously carries a lot of power and is very tough. People say the punch (power) is the last thing to go. He’s always going to have power, but it’s landing it.”

“I just don’t think he can pull the trigger anymore,” said Allen.

Talking about Chisora, Allen said: “He hasn’t boxed for 14 months, which is a long time out in your forties. It’s a long time out at any age, but in your forties, that’s a hell of a long time out. But he’s actually come off a good run of Washington, Joyce, and Wallin. At 42, Chisora’s in pretty decent form. He hasn’t boxed that much. I think he’s boxed three times in the last three and a half years, which at 42 is insane really. I don’t get it. But he’s in better form. It comes down to who’s got the most left, and I think it’s Derek Chisora.

“I fancy Chisora to land the big one first. I don’t think Wilder can do it anymore. I don’t think he’s got it. I don’t think he has the same speed, the same tenacity. I don’t think he has the same desire to really put it on someone. I don’t think he could if he wanted to anymore. But Wilder’s had a great career. One of the best heavyweights of our generation. Time’s up, I think, and I think Chisora will stop him. My prediction is Chisora in six.”
