Bio and Career
Born on May 15, 2000, in Odesa, she quickly made her mark on the professional circuit. Yastremska showed early talent, started playing tennis already at age five. She had a successful junior career, notably finishing as a runner-up in the 2016 Wimbledon Girls Singles event. With this result she reached a career-high junior ranking of No. 6 in the world.
Her transition to the professional ranks was swift:
- She became the first woman born in the 2000s to crack the WTA Top 100 rankings in July 2018.
- The same year, she won her first WTA Tour singles title at the Hong Kong Open.
