Delhi Capitals have just had their winning streak in IPL 2025 snapped, but now will come across a team with their own struggles in the tournament – Rajasthan Royals.
Capitals have lost just one of their five matches and are sitting pretty on the points table at second. RR have only four points from six matches and are seventh on the table. RR also lost each of their last two matches in what has been a very topsy-turvy season for them.
RR’s last game resulted in a loss at home of all places to a newly dominant RCB. RCB’s bowlers ran a very tight ship on a slow surface. Yashasvi Jaiswal though, demonstrated that he is beyond all those shackles with a masterful knock to give RR a respectable total. Phil Salt continued his good form and came out all guns blazing and killed the chase in the powerplay itself. Virat Kohli anchored the chase with his hundredth T20 fifty with Devdutt Padikkal finishing things off with two and a half overs to go.
DC lost to MI at Delhi in their last game to end their reign as the only unbeaten team of IPL 2025. Ryan Rickelton and Surykaumar Yadav made significant contributions, but Tilak Varma’s fifty and Naman Dhir’s cameo proved valuable. Deepak Chahar struck on the first ball of the chase, but DC’s Impact Player and new No. 3 Karun Nair came out swinging. Nair kept DC in the chase but his dismissal brought out a disastrous collapse. Karn Sharma tore through the middle order and the match eventually ended with three runouts in three balls to send DC tumbling to their first loss in IPL 2025.

Player battles to watch out for in Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals, Match 32
1. Sanju Samson vs Axar Patel
The skipper-vs-skipper match-up in this game will be crucial to both teams’ chances. So far in the IPL, Axar has dismissed Samson just twice for 70 runs at an average of 35. These runs, though, have come off 63 balls, giving Samson a strike rate of 111.11, which is slightly concerning.
2. KL Rahul vs Jofra Archer

After two indifferent outings, Jofra Archer seems to have found his footing in the tournament, but now he will have to run in into the equally in-form KL Rahul. In the IPL so far, Rahul has never been dismissed by Archer and has made 89 runs in 59 balls at a strike rate of 150.84, which makes their clash mouth-watering.
