Dennis Rodman Set for WWE Hall of Fame 2026 Induction

Dennis Rodman is heading into the WWE Hall of Fame this year— and this time, it’s official.

On March 20, 2026, senior ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania revealed that the basketball legend will be inducted as part of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Rodman, who became one of the most recognizable celebrity crossovers in wrestling history during his WCW run in the late 1990s, is now being honored for that impact.

“Crossover: Basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April, per ESPN sources.”

That alone is a major moment — but the context behind it makes it even bigger. Rodman wasn’t just another celebrity appearance during wrestling’s boom period. He became a recurring part of WCW television at the height of the Monday Night Wars, aligning himself with Hulk Hogan and the nWo while fully leaning into the chaos of the era.

Charania also referenced one of the wildest moments from Rodman’s crossover run — something that blurred the line between sports and wrestling in a way few others have.

“Rodman made his WCW debut in 1997 and famously skipped a practice during the 1998 NBA Finals for a wrestling match alongside Hulk Hogan.”

That moment alone helped define Rodman’s legacy in wrestling — not just showing up, but committing to it even at the height of his NBA career. And now, that legacy is being recognized alongside some major names. Charania summed it up with one final line that says everything about Rodman’s unique place in sports and entertainment history: “Two HOFs for Rodman.”

Rodman is set to join AJ Styles, Stephanie McMahon, and Demolition in the 2026 class, putting him in elite company across multiple eras of the business. From NBA champion to nWo wildcard, Rodman turned what could’ve been a one-off celebrity stint into something that still gets talked about decades later — and now, it’s earned him a spot in WWE history.

Do you think Dennis Rodman deserves a place in the WWE Hall of Fame, or are there other crossover stars who should’ve been recognized first? Let us know your thoughts and leave your feedback below.
