India’s Glorious Victory in the T20 World Cup:

In the 2024 T20 World Cup final at Bridgetown, Barbados, India set a formidable first-innings total of 176/7 against South Africa. The Indian batsmen displayed exceptional prowess and aggression, establishing a challenging target that showcased their strategic dominance on the global stage. To make that score, Virat Kohli anchored the innings with a resilient 76 off 59 balls, maintaining a strike rate of 128.81. Axar Patel’s aggressive 47 off 31 balls, complemented by Shivam Dube’s 27, bolstered India’s total. Hardik Pandya remained unbeaten on 5 runs. India concluded their innings at 176/7 in 20 overs.

Defending the target, India’s bowlers exhibited a blend of precision and aggression. Arshdeep Singh’s disciplined bowling earned him 2 wickets for 20 runs. Jasprit Bumrah’s economical spell accounted for 2 wickets conceding 18 runs. However, it was Hardik Pandya’s standout performance, taking 3 key wickets for 20 runs in 3 overs, that secured India’s victory by 7 runs. This triumph reclaimed the T20 World Cup title after 17 years, with India emerging as the only undefeated team throughout the tournament.
