Dodgers Fan Makes Crazy Social Media Bet With Blake Snell

One Los Angeles Dodgers fan could end up with a unique souvenir from spring training, and it’s one that won’t wash off.

Mikey Olbes shared to Instagram a pair of videos featuring Dodgers ace Blake Snell and him making a “gentlemen’s agreement” for the fan to get a tattoo.

In the videos, Olbes begs Snell to sign his arm, and though Snell is initially reticent about possibly covering up Olbes’ existing tattoos, he eventually relents and names his price: Olbes videos have to get 70,000 likes.

That’s a big figure to reach, and while it is fitting for Snell’s jersey No. 7, Olbes has a long way to go.

As of Monday evening, he had less than 1,000 likes combined between the two videos.

If anyone can rack up some support, though, it’s Dodgers fans, so give Olbes a like and get him closer to getting some new ink.

Blake Snell Facing Struggles Heading Into 2026

While Snell is still a fan-favorite, he’ll have to wait a bit to get back on the field.

He’s ramping up slowly ahead of the season, with reports indicating he’s still throwing from flat ground, not the pitching mound.

Those moves are intended to prevent Snell from being injured again, something he’s battled in the past.

“Time’s ticking, but like I told him the other day, Opening Day is not necessarily a hard and fast target for us,” manager Dave Roberts said.

Snell said at DodgerFest that this course of action has long been the plan after he hurt his shoulder and missed much of the early part of the 2025 season.

“I’ve been playing catch, been throwing. It feels good,” Snell said at DodgerFest. “But I’m just going to take my time. Last year, I was rushing. I wanted to pitch so bad. But I’m going to take my time. The goal is to be ready Opening Day, but I’m going to take my time.”

Snell said then that he expected to know more at spring training, and apparently, what he learned indicated that he’s not ready to return to the mound just yet.

“Last year, I had so much to prove,” he said. “I got way too excited and was really pushing to get to spring, get through spring. This year, I’m going to be a little slower just in how I ramp up — be a lot more smarter on that.”
