The Miami Dolphins hired former Green Bay Packers vice president of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan to be the team’s new general manager this offseason.
However, another Jon has just entered the chat.

On Monday evening, it was announced by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network that the Dolphins have hired Jon Robinson — former Tennessee Titans general manager — as the team’s new Senior Personnel Executive. Robinson was hired as the general manager of the Titans in 2016 — a position he held until late into the 2022 season when he was let go following a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in which former Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown caught eight balls for 119 yards and two touchdowns.
Robinson — 50 years old — was also the general manager in Tennessee when the Titans selected quarterback Malik Willis out of Liberty University in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Of course, the Dolphins have been heavily linked to Willis this offseason as the team looks to move away from their own quarterback draft pick, Tua Tagovailoa.
Robinson has taken interviews since being fired in Tennessee — with the New York Jets in 2024 and the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2025 — however, his hire in Miami is his first NFL job since parting ways with the Titans.
