DraftKings Friday Showdown: Chicago Bears at Philadelphia Eagles

Bears at Eagles

Are you ready to rumble? Ooops, wrong sport, but are you ready? Welcome to the Friday afternoon showdown. The NFC North-leading Chicago Bears travel to face the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles. Seven points favor the Eagles, and the point total is currently set at 43.5.

This is a single-entry format. We are looking for the high ceiling (duh) but also a high floor. Specifically, this is the Friday NFL Showdown $60K Huddle [Single Entry] (Chi @ Phi). So, let’s make some Black Friday/Cyber Monday money.

Stats and Props That Matter

  • The Bears have 87 plays this season with runs of 10 plus yards or passes of 20 plus yards, the most in the NFL.
  • Jalen Hurts leads the league with a 25-to-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
  • The Bears have the NFL’s best 24 takeaways, including 16 interceptions.

The Defenses

Rushing yards allowed per game:

*The Bears rank 28th, allowing an average of 138.1. In their last three games, they have given up 156.7 rushing yards per game, including 160 to the Pittsburgh Steelers combination of Kenneth Gainwell (92) and Jaylen Warren (68).

The Bears have also given up an average of 6.3 yards per carry on quarterback runs.

*The Eagles are ranked 18th, allowing an average of 115.1 rushing yards per game. In their last three games, they have allowed an average of 101.6. They have also only allowed one rushing touchdown (from a running back)  in their last three games, holding Detroit Lions’ Jahmyr Gibbs and the Cowboys’ Javonte Williams and Malik Davis out of the end zone. Only Josh Jacobs and Dak Prescott have scored rushing touchdowns against them in their last three games.

Passing yards allowed per game:

->The Eagles are ranked 22nd, allowing an average of 224.7 for the season. In their last three games, they have given up an average of 249.3 passing yards. This includes Prescott’s 354 yards in the Cowboys’ comeback last week, Jared Goff’s 255, and Jordan Love’s 176.

->The Bears are 21st. For the year, they are allowing an average of 224.7 passing yards per game. In their last three games, they have lowered that to 190.3. This three-week average is slightly skewed by the competition, including Steelers’ backup Mason Rudolph, who passed for 171 yards, Minnesota Vikings struggling J.J. McCarthy’s 150 passing yards, and the New York Giants combination of Jaxson Dart (242) and Russell Wilson (45).

The Prop Bets

  • Jalen Hurts 30.5 rushing yards, OVER (-115): Only four teams are giving up more rushing yards per game to the quarterback position.
  • Caleb Williams, 211.5 passing yards, OVER (-111): Williams averages 233.5 passing yards per game. Love’s 176 came in a game that the Eagles won 10-7, and Love attempted 36 passes, completing 20. Williams’ lowest passing total for the season is 172 yards, Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints, where he attempted 26 passes.
  • Saquon Barkley, rushing yards 80+, OVER (-101): Barkley has only reached 100 yards once this season, Week 9 against the New York Giants (150). But the Bears have allowed 120 or more total rushing yards eight times this season.
  • Colston Loveland, 3.5 receptions OVER (+155): Loveland has at least four receptions in three of his last four games.
