Step 1 – Create your team

Step 2 – Selecting the Mega Contest

Now as the team is ready you can navigate to the Contest section of the match menu and select the mega contest. Most of the time is it at the top. Also be aware that the safety shield for the mega contest is not available on all the matches but selected contest like for all the matches of India men and women team, IPL and other popular leagues. Click on the mega contest now.

In this example the mega contest is of 14 crores.

Step 3 – Join the Mega Contest

Now you will click on join. Make sure you already have the entry fee in your dream11 wallet.

Step 4 – Confirm before Joining

After this a popup will come which will ask you for your confirmation for joining the contest. Go through it and after that click on Join Contest. Now, you have successfully joined the mega contest but the safety shield is yet to be applied to your team.

Step 5 – Go to My Contest

For activating the dream11 safety shield you will navigate to My Contest. Here you can see the mega contest you have joined and on the upper side of the menu there is a option of Shield your Teams in green. Click it

Step 6 – Select the Shield

Now, you will see the details of this dream11 mega contest insurance. Your captain and vice captain details are present here and checkbox is on it front of both of them . If you want to add safety shield for both you can select Select All. If you want to add safety shield for only one amongst the captain and vice captain you can select them accordingly. For each of the shield you will have to pay 3Rs.

In this example below, I have applied the shield to both the captain and vice captain. So I have pay 6Rs for it.

Step 7 – Buy Shield

Now click on Buy Shield For 6Rs. Thats it, your shield for team playing in the mega contest is activate!

Criteria for Cashback

Its important to note the criteria for cashback for the Dream11 Safety Shield.

• This feature is only available for selected Mega Contest.
• For Captain Shield – You will get 20Rs discount bonus only if Captain scores less than 22 total points. i.e. 11*2 and your team ends up lossing and doesnt find itself in the winning zone at the end of the match.
• For Vice Captain Shield – You will get 20Rs discount bonus only if the vice captain of your team gets less than 16.5 (11*1.5) total points and your team ends up lossing and doesnt find itself in the winning zone at the end of the match.
