Bangkok, Thailand — ONE Championship returned to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium on Friday night with another explosive night of martial arts action as ONE Fight Night 42: Mann vs. Dzhabrailov delivered highlight-reel finishes and dramatic momentum swings.
The event was headlined by a welterweight MMA showdown between rising stars Dzhabir Dzhabrailov and Chase Mann, while Muay Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao turned back the clock in a thrilling co-main event against Elmehdi El Jamari.
Dzhabrailov Hands Chase Mann His First Career Loss
The main event saw undefeated Turkish sensation Dzhabir Dzhabrailov deliver a devastating first-round knockout, handing American standout Chase “Mannimal” Mann the first loss of his professional career.
Mann wasted no time pressing the action, shooting for an early takedown and immediately setting a fast pace. The Arkansas native struck first, catching Dzhabrailov with a sharp right hook that dropped the 21-year-old prospect to the canvas.
But Dzhabrailov quickly recovered and returned fire during a series of high-speed striking exchanges.
Moments later, the Turkish phenom backed Mann into the corner of the ring and detonated a crushing left hook that landed flush on the chin. Mann collapsed instantly, and two follow-up hammerfists sealed the emphatic knockout at 2:31 of the opening round.
The stunning finish keeps Dzhabrailov undefeated and marks one of the most memorable knockouts of the night at Lumpinee Stadium.
Sam-A Survives Knockdown, Finishes El Jamari in Wild Comeback
In the co-main event, former multi-time ONE World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao reminded fans why he remains one of Muay Thai’s most decorated fighters.
Facing Morocco’s aggressive striker Elmehdi “The Sniper” El Jamari, Sam-A endured a tense first round as El Jamari landed several sharp uppercuts and controlled the early exchanges.
The fight exploded in the second round.
Sam-A shifted gears and began marching forward with powerful combinations. A thunderous left hook scored the first knockdown before a piston-like straight left dropped El Jamari again moments later.
But the drama wasn’t over.
El Jamari responded with a massive left hook of his own, sending Sam-A crashing to the canvas and briefly shaking the Thai legend.
Still recovering, Sam-A delivered a spectacular fight-ending head kick that dropped El Jamari for the third time in the round, forcing the referee to stop the contest at 2:43 of Round 2 in one of the night’s most dramatic finishes.
