According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Detroit Pistons are a team to watch for when it comes to Porter Jr.
“Another team to monitor when it comes to Porter, league sources say, is Detroit.
“The Pistons, as we’ve been reporting, have signaled that they don’t want to accelerate this pleasant surprise of a rebound from a 14-68 campaign in 2023-24 with an over-aggressive move during the season.”

They have been led by Cade Cunningham, who has been playing at an MVP level and their young center Jalen Duren.
If the Pistons are looking to add a third option with veteran experience, Porter Jr. makes a lot of sense.
He has championship pedigree and doesn’t need the ball in his hands to be effective. He proved with the Denver Nuggets he can thrive as a spot-up shooter.
If the Pistons are looking to go all-in on their championship pursuit this season, Porter Jr. appears to be a good move for them.
