EHL: Orée Claim EHL U14 Boys Glory – EHL

Royal Orée claimed the Euro Hockey League U14 Boys title after edging Berliner HC in a tightly contested final that was decided by shoot‑out, bringing two days of high-quality youth hockey in ’s‑Hertogenbosch to a thrilling close.

The Belgian side completed an unbeaten campaign, progressing confidently through Pool B before navigating Sunday’s knockout stages with composure to secure top spot in the six‑team tournament.

The final between Royal Orée and Berliner HC finished level at 1–1 after regulation time, with both teams showing structure and discipline throughout a finely balanced contest.

Royal Orée struck first when Diego Regout struck in the opening half to give the Belgians an early advantage. Berlin responded after the interval through tournament top scorer Caspar Siebert, whose penalty corner conversion ensured his side stayed firmly in the contest.

With no further goals added, the title was decided by shoot‑out. Orée goalkeeper Louis Decharneux played a decisive role, producing key saves before goals from Paul Steyaert, Aston Denis, Corentin Verwilghen, Hugo Degallaix and Wilhelm Brandenburg guided Royal Orée to a 5–4 shoot‑out victory and the tournament crown.

Earlier on Sunday, Royal Orée booked their place in the final with a 2–0 semi‑final win over HC Bloemendaal with goals from Alicien Brouhns and Aston Denis, continuing their strong attacking form from the pool stages.

Berliner HC secured their final berth with a 2–0 semi‑final victory over Surbiton, once again led by Siebert who opened the scoring before adding a second to cap another influential performance.

The bronze medal match saw HC Bloemendaal edge Surbiton in a shoot‑out after a goalless draw in regulation time.

Bloemendaal goalkeeper Ijsbrand van der Horst proved pivotal in the shoot‑out while successful efforts from Klaas Slijper, Berend Tolboom, Friso Visser, Hidde Zondervan and Nicolas Lenstra secured a 5–4 shoot‑out win and a place on the podium.

In the 5th/6th place match, Real Club de Campo Villa de Madrid defeated Saint Germain HC 4–2, with Alfonso Romero and Nicolas Silvela both converting penalty corners.
