League leaders Belfast Giants visit second-placed Cardiff Devils in Friday night’s only Elite League fixture this week.
The Devils, who have played a game more, trail the Giants by four points in the standings. After tonight, they will have just 14 games left this season, including a double-header weekend in Belfast next month.
Each team has won on home ice in their meetings so far this season. The Giants have one win from their game at the SSE Arena in October, while the Devils have a pair of victories at the Vindico Arena.
Both sides have won three of their last five games as they head into the final stage of the regular season.
In the special teams charts, the Belfast Giants lead the league with the EIHL’s hottest power play at 31.11%. The Cardiff Devils have the second-worst, converting on just 16.82% of their opportunities.
