ELA Games has been shortlisted for two major categories at the upcoming SBC Awards Europe 2026, underlining the studio’s growing presence in the competitive European slot market.
The nominations recognise two standout titles in the provider’s portfolio: Pinatas Festival, shortlisted for Game Design & Art Direction, and Joker Winpot, which has been named a contender for Casino Entertainment – Game of the Year.
Held annually, the SBC Awards are among the most established events in the iGaming calendar, celebrating innovation and performance across operators, suppliers, and affiliates. This year’s ceremony will take place at the Xara Lodge on 30 April, bringing together key stakeholders from across the European gaming industry.
For ELA Games, the dual nomination highlights its continued focus on delivering visually distinctive and feature-driven slot content. Pinatas Festival stands out for its vibrant fiesta theme, combining bold colour palettes, high-energy animations, and a strong visual identity designed to capture player attention. Meanwhile, Joker Winpot blends classic casino motifs with a darker character-driven aesthetic, anchored by its proprietary Winpot feature that builds gameplay tension and engagement.
Commenting on the recognition, Marharyta Yerina, Managing Director at ELA Games, said:
“We are very pleased to be recognized by the SBC Awards in two such competitive categories. I personally love both of these games because they both feel incredibly distinct and full of character, the bright colours of Pinatas Festival make it feel like it is jumping out of the screen, so I am especially happy to see them up for awards. To also have Joker Winpot nominated for Game of the Year is a fantastic validation of the amazing Winpot mechanic.”
The nominations come as ELA Games continues to expand its footprint across regulated European markets, an increasingly important factor as industry standards tighten. Regulatory frameworks such as those outlined by the Malta Gaming Authority continue to shape supplier strategies, particularly around game design, fairness, and player engagement.
Since launching in 2022, ELA Games has positioned itself as a narrative-driven slot developer, focusing on immersive storytelling, detailed artwork, and interactive features. Its portfolio has grown steadily, reflecting a broader trend in the iGaming sector where differentiation through theme, mechanics, and user experience is becoming critical for success.
With winners set to be announced at the end of April, the recognition already positions ELA Games among a competitive field of suppliers. Whether it converts nominations into wins or not, the shortlist reflects the studio’s ambition to establish itself as a serious contender in the European iGaming content space.
