BOSTON (USA, Feb 14): Elle St. Pierre, in her second race after giving birth to second child, won the one mile in a new world lead of 4:17.83 at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational, and also clocked a new US short-track record of 3:59.33 in the 1500m split. Riley Chamberlain finished second in a new short-track collegiate best of 4:20.61 PB (4:03.01 PBi) ahead of Sweden’s Wilma Nielsen (4:21.04 NR, 4:01.60 PB) and Jane Hedengren (4:22.22 PB, 4:03.43 PB). World steeplechase finalist Doris Lemngole of Kenya won the 5000m in 14:51.21 NRi/PB over Karissa Schweizer (14:54.15 PBi). Türkiye’s Silan Ayyildiz topped the 3000m (8:44.04 ) and Meghan Hunter the 800m (1:59.74).
