Emanuel Navarrete vs. Eduardo “Sugar” Nunez Results & Video Highlights
Glendale, Arizona (March 1st, 2026)– In an important battle of Mexican boxing supremacy, Emanuel Navarrete, 31, (40-2-1, 31 KOs), secured a massive victory and a small upset on March 1, 2026, by defeating Eduardo “Sugar” Nunez, 28, (29-2, 27 Kos), via 11th-round TKO to become the unified WBO and IBF junior lightweight champion.
Navarrete dominated the fight from the opening bell at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
The fight was officially stopped just one second into the 11th round. Following a relentless assault in the 10th round that left Nunez’s right eye badly damaged and bleeding, the ringside physician and referee determined he could no longer continue.
Analysts noted this as Navarrete’s best performance in years, showcasing his trademark awkward angles, relentless pressure, and “saucy” foot feints that froze Nunez throughout the bout.
