Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Addai scored a sensational brace to lead FK Qarabag to the semi-final of the Azerbaijani Cup.
The 24-year-old inspired the Azerbaijani giants to a comeback victory against Shamakhi following a 4-3 aggregate win at the end of two exciting legs.
Addai opened the scoring with a low drive finish in the 6th minute at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium, but the visitors responded in the 31st minute through Karim Rossi.
After the break, Addai added his second with a powerful left foot strike to level the score on aggregate.
Two minutes later, Leandro Andrade secured victory for the hosts with a fine finish.
Addai and his teammates will now face the winner of the game between Gabala and Sabah in the last four of the competition.
Meanwhile, the Ghanaian forward is enjoying a decent campaign with Qarabag, netting his fifth goal of the season.
Addai is expected to be named in the Black Stars squad for the international friendlies against Germany and Austria later this month.
