Self-belief in Crieff: Isla and Hamish win golds
The 2026 Scottish Mid-Trail Championships will take place in Perthshire in July – at the Crieff 10k.
Entries have opened via Entry Central for the event on Sunday 12 July.
Seniors and U20s compete over the 10k course and there is a shorter 5k route for the U18, U16 and U14 athletes.
The senior race has a new route for 2026, which incorporates a new section of trail. The race still starts from Morrison’s Academy sports ground (Dallerie) and follows the trails out over Laggan Hill past the Baird Monument and back along the banks of the River Earn via Lady Mary’s Walk.
The junior 5k route starts from Lady Mary’s Walk. The course goes over Laggan Hill, descends from Puddock Pond and returns along the banks of the River Earn. It’s an ideal loop and a good introduction to trail running.
Medals will be awarded to the following categories: Senior, U20, V40, V50, V60 and V70. There are younger age group medals in the 5k for U18/U16/U14.
