ESFI Announces Qualifiers to select team India for 6th AIMAG

The Esports Federation of India or ESFI Announces Qualifiers to select team India for 6th AIMAG or Asian Indoor and Martial Arts games. The Esports Federation of India (ESFI) has officially launched the registration process for the National Esports Championship 2024 (NESC24). This tournament will act as the qualifying rounds for the eagerly awaited esports competition at the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) in Bangkok and Chonburi, Thailand.

The esports competitions at the 6th AIMAG will take place entirely in Chonburi, Thailand, at the Central Sriracha venue from November 23 to 28, 2024.

This championship is a significant opportunity for Indian esports athletes to demonstrate their prowess and compete against some of the best players from across the continent. With esports gaining recognition and inclusion in prestigious multi-sport events, the NESC24 marks a vital step in the professional development of the sport in India.

The 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games will feature this

Organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), the 6th AIMAG will feature 36 sports along with two demonstration sports. Notably, esports has upgraded to a full-fledged medal sport for this event. The esports segment will include three popular mobile games.

The Female category will play Mobile Legend Bang Bang as a team event. The open Category will contest in Arena of Valor as a team event. Meanwhile, eFootball will be played in the Open Category as an individual event.

India will compete in the eFootball mobile category only as AOV and MLBB are banned in India. These games will represent India on the international stage. NESC24 serves as the critical gateway for Indian gamers to showcase their skills. This will help them secure a spot in the national team.

The upcoming 6th AIMAG, hosted by the OCA, will be a landmark event. It will highlight the growing influence of esports in the realm of competitive sports. India’s top esports athletes are vying for qualification. The NESC24 is poised to be an exhilarating and fiercely contested championship, paving the way for India’s representation at one of the largest multi-sport events in Asia.

When Will The NESC24 and 6th AIMAG be held

The NESC24 will take place in the first week of August as an online event. On the other hand, the quarter-finals and beyond will be streamed live on its YouTube channel. This championship offers Indian players a chance to showcase their skills in the eFootball mobile title. The selected players will have the opportunity to train at the venue before the continental games.

The 6th AIMAG will start on November 21, two days before the esports event begins. The event will run until November 30, 2024. The eFootball mobile category will have group stage matches on November 23 and 24. This will be followed by the playoffs on November 26, and concluding with the final gold medal match on November 27.
