Ex Pakistan Cricketer praises Sachin Tendulkar

After striking out renowned batsman Sachin Tendulkar in an international cricket match, former Pakistani player Saeed Ajmal spoke candidly, expressing that it was an extremely joyous moment for him. The 46-year-old added that at one point Tendulkar gave him advice on how to eliminate former right-hand batsman Kevin Petersan by bowling ‘dusra’.

Ajmal reminisces fond memories with the legend

“Sachin plays cricket really well. the world’s most compassionate and truthful. He is a legendary figure. I address him as Sir. That is what he deserves. I have played with Sir, so it is an honor for me, but when you go to the ground in cricket, there is nothing like it. I am happy that I have managed to get him out. I will never forget this, and every time I played with him, I treated him with respect,” Ajmal remarked.

“I never lost my temper. In 2010, I was in a league with him. He advised me to perform “dusra” in order to free Petersan. Then, using ‘dusra’, I managed to free Petersan. He was overjoyed. After I claimed four wickets in four overs, Sachin informed me that there were still six wickets remaining in the match and that I shouldn’t end it too soon. He’s respected us from the beginning”. The former leg-spinner continued, “He is a very decent individual”.
