Ab De Villiers is commonly known as one of the greatest all-format batter of all time, and is one of the finest player to appear in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is among the best overseas players to play in the IPL and has already secured a place in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) Hall of Fame.
However, former RCB wicketkeeper batter Parthiv Patel had a silly hit at him during a recent interaction. On being asked if de Villiers has any weakness, Parthiv said that there is no way to get him out when he is at his best, but also said that he struggled in knockout matches.
“Koi weakness nahi hai. Khali itna bol sakte hain ki final match hai ya knockout match hai, toh kuch ho sakta hai. (There is no weakness. We can only tell him that it is a knockout match or final, then something might happen),” said Parthiv in an interaction with the 2 sloggers YouTube channel.
It did not take time for the comment by Parthiv to go viral on social media, and he faces severe backlash as cricket fans were unhappy with his statement on one of the best batters of all time.
