F1MATHS: Who completed the most laps during the second Bahrain pre-season testing?

Racing Bulls’s rookie driver Arvid Lindblad completed the highest number of laps during the second pre-season testing while Aston Martin drivers struggled to gain experience due to a variety of relaibility issues.

Across three days of running during the second Bahrain pre-season test, 22 drivers completed a combined total of tens of thousands of kilometers, with several standout performances in both lap count and distance covered.

Leading the field was Racing Bulls junior driver Lindblad, who completed 240 laps and covered 1,298 km, the highest total of any driver. Close behind was George Russell, from Mercedes, with 235 laps and 1,271 km, confirming the team’s strong reliability and aggressive testing program.

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri logged 222 laps and 1,201 km, while Esteban Ocon of Alpine completed 205 laps for 1,109 km. Four-time champion Max Verstappen ran 204 laps and covered 1,104 km, showing consistent pace and durability.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc added 202 laps and 1,093 km, followed closely by Ollie Bearman with 199 laps and 1,076 km, and Kimi Antonelli with 197 laps and 1,066 km. Carlos Sainz covered a total of 196 laps and 1,060 km.

Audi’s Nico Hulkenberg completed 186 laps and 1,006 km, while Colapinto and Gasly logged 180 and 179 laps, respectively, both nearing the 1,000 km mark. McLaren’s Lando Norris ran 173 laps for 936 km, and Alex Albon of Williams followed with 172 laps and 930 km.

Rookie Bortoleto impressed with 171 laps and 925 km, while Lawson added 167 laps and 903 km. Red Bull’s Sergio Perez had a lighter program with 135 laps and 730 km, and Valtteri Bottas completed 131 laps for 708 km.

Further down the list, Isack Hadjar ran 125 laps and 676 km, while Lewis Hamilton, now with Ferrari, logged 122 laps and 660 km. Fernando Alonso completed only 96 laps and 519 km, and Lance Stroll had the lowest total with just 32 laps and 173 km, suggesting limited running due to technical issues or fitness concerns.
