The Fanatics Flag Football Classic event originally scheduled to be played at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will relocate to Los Angeles because of the war in the Middle East, according to sources familiar with the event. The exact site and date are still to be determined after the event was originally scheduled for March 21, according to a third source.
Las Vegas Raiders minority owner and Fox analyst Tom Brady partnered with the chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority to announce the three-team, round-robin event last September. Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champion and three-time first-team All-Pro quarterback who retired after the 2022 season, was scheduled to be joined by several other big names from the NFL, including his former teammate with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Brady and Jayden Daniels are slated to quarterback two of the teams. The event in Saudi Arabia was set to air on Fox Sports and Tubi and be hosted by comedian and actor Kevin Hart.
