Fans have rallied around to raise thousands for a Newcastle United supporter who is left in critical condition while out in Barcelona.
Kieran Gray, currently in intensive care, had a serious fall causing severe head injuries and is in hospital in Barcelona with his family by his side.
His family have setup a GoFundMe page to help cover medical costs and expenses.
Newcastle United Supporters’ Club tweeted: “Thank you to everyone that continues to donate and share for Kieran and his family.
“We know the family are grateful for everyone’s kind words and contributions. #NUFC”

The GoFundMe page reads: “We are raising funds for Kieran Gray, a passionate Newcastle United supporter who is currently in intensive care in Barcelona.
“This page is organised by Kieran’s family and friends, to support him during this incredibly difficult time.
“After travelling to support Newcastle on Wednesday, Kieran suffered a serious fall which caused severe head injuries. He now remains in a critical condition, far from home.
“Kieran believed he had travel insurance through his bank, but sadly it has come to light that he is not covered. As a result, his family are now facing extremely high medical costs of around £1,300 per day, alongside additional charges for essential scans and treatment. With no clear timeline for his recovery, the financial pressure is immense.
“Kieran is a very loyal Newcastle supporter who travels home and away.
“Kieran’s dad is now staying by his side in Barcelona during this critical time. Alongside the mounting medical bills, this is also placing significant additional financial strain on the family for accommodation, travel, and day-to-day expenses.
“Any donation, big or small, will make a real difference. If you can’t donate, please share this page.

“Every single penny raised will go directly towards covering the cost of Kieran’s hospital care and treatment.

£15k raised so far for Kieran, his Mother looking to fly out early next Week.
Hopefully we hear about a quick and full recovery.

A fundraising campaign which was set up with help from friends had been amplified by fans on social media, including the Newcastle United Supporters’ Club.
By Saturday morning, the total had already reached over £15,000 from 781 donations. The next target has been set at £22,000.
