Fans Voice Frustration Over Short Runtime and Flat Ending at Survivor Series 2025

Fans Voice Frustration Over Short Runtime and Flat Ending at Survivor Series 2025 – The 2025 WWE Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event took place this past Saturday at Petco Park in San Diego, California, marking WWE’s first PLE in the city in 17 years. The show featured just four matches, including the men’s and women’s WarGames bouts, but many viewers made it clear online that they felt the event fell short of expectations.

The men’s WarGames match closed the show, ending with Brock Lesnar, Logan Paul, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Drew McIntyre celebrating victory over Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso. The finish included interference from a masked figure, who entered the cage and assisted the heel team in securing the win. Despite the star power in the main event, many in the audience were unhappy with how the show wrapped up.

Radio host Adrian Hernandez posted footage showing Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes sharing a brief staredown to end the broadcast. Instead of excitement, the live crowd responded with loud boos. Fans online echoed that reaction, expressing disappointment that the show finished without a major twist, surprise, or meaningful payoff. Many expected a more dramatic angle to close a WarGames event with such a loaded lineup.

Another widely criticized issue was the event’s length. While Survivor Series featured numerous hype videos, sponsorship segments, and video packages throughout the night, the actual in-ring portion ran just over two hours. For an event positioned as one of WWE’s marquee shows, many viewers felt the short runtime made the card feel thin and contributed to the sense that the night ended too abruptly.

On the Survivor Series post-show, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H praised the men’s WarGames match and highlighted the star quality involved. He said it was one of the most stacked WarGames lineups he had ever seen, emphasizing both the talent level and the intensity behind the scenes.

“Unbelievable. One of the most star-studded WarGames I can recall. The level of star power that was in there was second to none. Everybody delivered. When you have Brock Lesnar, who does not team well with others. When you have Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, CM Punk, Logan Paul.

“All these people that are in there putting things out at another level, and you see that competitive nature. The lobbying, the politics, the backstage tension tonight, you can cut it with a knife. It was epic. You saw that in people’s performances.”

While WWE promoted the show as a major milestone event and Triple H praised the performances, the online reaction suggests that many viewers expected more from Survivor Series, both in terms of match substance and overall presentation. Whether the fallout on RAW changes that perception remains to be seen.
