Fighter who stopped Anthony Joshua sends Jake Paul advice

Andy Ruiz Jr has given his view on Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua.

Ruiz Jr was the first man to defeat Joshua as a professional and sent Paul some advice, ahead of their upcoming heavyweight fight on December 19 in Miami.

After originally being set to face Gervonta Davis a few weeks ago, Paul has instead had to change his preparation completely, now looking ahead to a fight with two-time heavyweight world champion, Joshua.

Paul’s fight with ‘Tank’ was scrapped due to the lightweight world champion being accused of hitting an ex-girlfriend in a civil lawsuit.

‘The Problem Child’ has gone from a 195lb limit to now facing ‘AJ’ at heavyweight who is cannot come in any heavier than 245lbs.

Ruiz Jr spoke to TMZ and revealed how he feels Paul could cause an upset.

“Just get him with the right hand. That’s what Jake Paul is looking for the right hand, and if he lands he could probably do good damage.

“A lot of people underestimate Jake Paul but in reality he’s a good fighter and he’s dedicated.”

Ruiz first fought Joshua in 2019 where ‘AJ’ made his US debut only for Ruiz to spoil the party.

The American stopped Joshua in round seven, dealing the Brit his first loss.

‘AJ’ rematched Ruiz, defeating him on points six months later.

Joshua is Paul’s toughest test to date with the 28-year-old’s only loss so far against younger brother of Tyson, Tommy Fury who bettered him over eight rounds.

Joshua has boxed over double the amount of rounds Paul has in his professional career whilst also boasting an amateur pedigree that includes an Olympic gold medal; becoming just the second British heavyweight to win gold at the games.

Paul is clearly taking the test of Joshua extremely seriously, sharing a post to social media showing off some of the sparring partners he has brought into camp ahead of December 19th.

Lawrence Okolie, Frank Sanchez & Jared Anderson were pictured towering over Paul; all notably boast an impressive background similarly to Joshua.

Anderson is a two-time national champion with his only professional loss at the hands of Martin Bakole last year, Sanchez is an unbeaten contender and Okolie a former cruiserweight world champion.
