Flop playing XI of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 edition

Team India led by Rohit Sharma defeated South Africa in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 final by 7 runs to win the second T20I World Cup. The Men in Blue put an end to the ICC title drought after 11 long years to clinch the elusive accolade to decorate their trophy cabinet.

The recently-concluded ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 has witnessed players showcasing their prowess by ticking the boxes in their respective departments. While there were plenty of hits, there were as many flops too in the tournament. Perhaps, they weren’t just be able to adapt to the conditions.

1. Reeza Hendricks

South African international Reeza Hendricks had a bad tournament, scoring just 113 runs in 9 innings with a low batting average of 14.12 and a strike rate of 87.59. He managed to score just 4 runs in the T20 World Cup 2024 final against Team India.

2. Kusal Mendis

Kusal Mendis who is known for his compact batting technique mustered just 75 runs in 3 innings, at an average of 25.00 with a sub-standard strike rate of 111.94. His disappointing performance culminated in Sri Lanka’s failure to advance beyond the group stage.
