Forgotten NFL quarterback escapes to Cabo with his glamorous wife after anonymous season

After being left behind on the Miami Dolphins bench for nearly the entire season, quarterback Zach Wilson took some time to re-charge with a lavish vacation.

Wilson, 26, hit the beaches of Cabo San Lucas in Mexico alongside his wife, Nicolette Dellanno.

This comes after Wilson finished his fifth NFL season – his second straight campaign as a backup.

‘lil weekend getaway,’ Dellanno, a New Jersey native, wrote in the caption of the gallery she posted to her Instagram account.

Among the images included multiple shots of the happy couple enjoying the scenery and some fine food.

The pair stayed at the Bahia Hotel & Beach House and were seen dining at the hotel’s beachfront club, SUR.

This is the same hotel where Dellanno held her bachelorette party last year before marrying Wilson at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City last June.

Wilson arrived in Miami hoping that he could make an impact after not making a single regular season appearance for the Denver Broncos in 2024.

Instead, the No. 2 overall pick from the 2021 NFL Draft made all of four appearances and threw just eleven passes all season long.

He even got passed over for a starting job by rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers after now-fired Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel benched starter Tua Tagovailoa.

‘Obviously, I came here with Tua as the primary starter,’ Wilson told the Palm Beach Post.

‘My goal here was, if I got a chance to get on the field ― obviously you never wish for anyone to get injured, but if by means that happened ― to have an opportunity to go out there and play.

‘That was kind of what I expected. Obviously, I wish I could have played, but I understand how the season goes sometimes.’

Wilson’s one-year, $6million deal to go to Miami has since lapsed without an extension – making him a free agent.
