The Pioneer Pack is the third DLC pack released for Formula Legends since September.
Formula Legends’ vehicle roster continues to expand rapidly with the release of the Pioneer Pack, the third post-launch DLC since the retro-style racer launched in September.
Out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, priced at £3.99 / $3.99 / €3,99, the Pioneer Pack adds three cars inspired by “key creations from motorsport history:”
- Mclauden MID 70
- Tram Tram Late 60
- Gass Mid 20
First, there’s the Mclauden MID 70, which is based on the McLaren M23. Introduced in the 1973 season, the M23 was famously driven by James Hunt, who went on to win the 1976 championship.
The Tram Tram Late, on the other hand, seems to be inspired by either a 1968 Matra or Lotus. Like most Formula 1 cars from this era until they were banned in 1969, it sports a high-mounted, experimental rear wing to generate extra downforce.

Finally, the Gass Mid 20 is based on the modern Haas team car, which is powered by a turbocharged, 1.6-litre V6 hybrid. Its fictional red and white livery resembles the team’s current MoneyGram sponsor livery.

Formula Legends’ Pioneer Pack follows the Tech Pack and Raw Power Pack, released in November and October, respectively.
Alongside the DLC release, the latest update brings a few improvements detailed in the patch notes below. Beyond the new update, Formula Legends is set to introduce requested new features in 2026, including online multiplayer and steering wheel support.
