FQSC launches its first Annual Officials Congress

The Fédération québécoise des sports cyclistes (FQSC) is holding its first ever Annual Officials Congress. The event is happening March 21, at Hôtel Le Dauphin in Drummondville.

This inaugural edition is all about bringing the officials community together. The FQSC says the event is to recognize the vital role of commissaires, offering meaningful training opportunities, encouraging networking, and creating space to share real-world experiences from the field.

The day will kick off with a morning discussion panel, followed by FMO training. (Formation des membres officiels.) It’s the official training session for commissaires/officials, focused on rules, procedures, and best practices so everyone is aligned for the season ahead.

In the afternoon, participants will take part in the spring sector meetings. The day wraps up with a 5 to 7 p.m. social hour featuring snacks and refreshments..

The Congress is open to certified commissaires. Those interested in becoming officials before the event will also have access to pre-Congress training, including BMX training on March 14–15, (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., virtual) — registration details coming soon.

Mountain bike and road training sessions will be announced shortly.
