Frank Warren has plans to take Moses Itauma to America and already has an opponent in mind.
Itauma, who has been signed with Warren’s Queensberry Promotions since his professional debut, takes a further step towards a maiden heavyweight world title shot when he faces American Jermaine Franklin in Manchester on Saturday, live on DAZN.
The undefeated 21-year-old has breezed through his first 13 professional opponents and is already being heavily linked with a showdown against unified champion, Oleksandr Usyk.
On Wednesday, Warren bolstered his already stacked heavyweight roster with the signing of American heavyweight Jared Anderson on a co-promotional deal with Top Rank and the Hall of Fame promoter believes his new charge could face Itauma in the USA in the future.
“It’s a chance for him [Anderson] to really re-establish himself,” Warren told The Stomping Ground.
“Moses is fighting an American in Jermaine on Saturday.
“If he comes through that and if Jared can come through and get a couple of wins under his belt, we’ll take Moses to America and maybe fight him there.”
Anderson is reportedly set to make his debut under the Queensberry banner on the undercard of Fabio Wardley’s WBO heavyweight title defence against Daniel Dubois, with Sol Dacres the likely opponent.
The 26-year-old bounced back from a devastating fifth round defeat to Martin Bakole with a unanimous decision win over Marios Kollias last February.

Itauma wiped out former world title challenger, Dillian Whyte in the opening round in August, while Franklin’s only defeats have come to Whyte and Anthony Joshua, both of whom he took the distance.
Itauma, who has never been past six rounds as a professional, says the Michigan man will answer a lot of the questions that surround him.
“I see more in Jermaine Franklin’s eyes than I’ve seen in a lot of my previous opponents,” he said at Thursday’s final press conference.
“So I know he’s ready and I’m going to be there.

“All the attributes that he possesses, there’s still question marks on myself.
“People are wondering if I’ve got a chin and people are wondering if I can go the distance.
“Jermaine Franklin, that’s what he’s known for.
“He’s known for taking people the distance, giving them tough fights.
“I feel like this is the final piece of the puzzle.”
