Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV – Results & Post-Fight Report

Jeamie TKV pulled off an upset at Vaillant Live in Derby, as he captured the vacant British heavyweight title with a split decision win in a war against Frazer Clarke.

The two were scheduled to meet at the end of October, but TKV suffered an injury and the fight with Clarke was delayed.

Clarke (9-2-1, KO7) returned to action in February after a one-round defeat to Fabio Wardley in their rematch, and halted Ebenezer Tetteh inside a round in Birmingham.

TKV (9-2, KO5) was coming off a controversial stoppage loss to David Adeleye for the same belt in April.

It was a scrappy start with plenty of clinching in the opener, and although Clarke worked well to the body in the second, TKV had his successes, landing cleanly on the head of the home fighter.

After being deducted a point for low blows, TKV started to up his output, and was slowly getting on top, an overhand right and a left hook finding the mark in the sixth.

TKV was roughing Clarke up, and it looked like the Derby man was fading, only for him to find a second wind in the eighth, connecting to head and body.

The two went back and forth in the tenth, and TKV put together some spiteful punches at the end of the round, and he was finishing much the stronger, the referee taking a good look at Clarke as he stumbled across the ring towards the end of the penultimate frame.

Clarke was running on empty, but somehow managed to survive and see out the fight as it went to the cards.

A 115-112 tally for Clarke was overruled by scores of 115-113 and 115-112 for TKV, who was crowned the new champion.

Jack Massey (23-3, KO13) returned after a losing for the IBF cruiserweight title against Jai Opetaia last October, and he had to get off the canvas in the first round before scoring a fourth-round stoppage against Ivan Gabriel Garcia (10-5-1, KO10).

The sole eight-rounder came at middleweight, where Bradley Goldsmith (14-1, KO9) won clearly on points against Jordan Dujon (10-6, KO0).

Six-rounders, Scott Melvin (12-1, KO2) won on points against Harvey Sturton (3-1, KO1) at super lightweight, and at super featherweight, Josh Rose (3-0, KO0) did the same against Jorge Luis Huerta Balleza (3-15, KO1).
