Australia WTC Final 2025 Team
Australia has officially announced its 15-man squad for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2025 against South Africa, scheduled to be played at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground from June 11. So let’s look at the Australia WTC Final 2025 Team.
The squad features a strong blend of experience and emerging talent, with no major surprises, as the team gears up to defend its WTC crown.
Cameron Green returns to the Test setup after recovering from back surgery, while left-arm spinner Matt Kuhnemann has also earned a place. Brendan Doggett, the standout performer in the Sheffield Shield final, has been named as a travelling reserve.
Pat Cummins, who will lead the side, is joined by key pacer Josh Hazlewood, both of whom have successfully recovered from injuries that sidelined them during the Sri Lanka tour and the Champions Trophy.

Their return via the IPL has put them back in rhythm at just the right time. Australia enters the final after a consistent run in the WTC cycle, having won four of their six Test series. The team also drew the 2023 Ashes 2-2 and shared a 1-1 result with West Indies during the 2023-24 home summer.
South Africa topped the WTC points table with an impressive 69.44% win rate from 12 Tests, just ahead of Australia’s 67.54% from 19 Tests.
This final marks a crucial opportunity for Australia to become the first side to win multiple WTC titles, a feat that would further cement their legacy in red-ball cricket.
The squad selected for the WTC final will also travel to the Caribbean for a three-Test series immediately after. Beau Webster retains his spot as the preferred allrounder following a strong debut run, while young talent Sam Konstas makes his return after completing the domestic season with New South Wales.
