Ganguly along with Ashwin drops a massive bombshell on India vs Pakistan bialetral series

The former star of the Pakistan cricket team Basit Ali has again pointed fingers at both the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and its chairman Mohsin Naqvi for the team’s recent struggles. After getting dropped from the T20 World cup 2024 group stages, Pakistan lost a humiliating test series against Bangladesh just a few months later. These results have created a lot of pressure on the cricket players from Pakistan who are also being criticized by both fans and analysts alike.

. According to Basit, Naqvi did not live up to his leadership since “promises made to fix Pakistan’s cricket are nothing but gimmicks”.

He further cited similar sentiments expressed by Indian cricketers such as Sourav Ganguly and Ravichandran Ashwin in order to bolster his perspective regarding this matter.

Ganguly along with Ashwin have recently commented on the recent downslide of Pakistan in international cricket.

Saeed Ajmal, on the other hand, believed that Pakistan and India should compete in cricket matches against each other in their respective countries since so much love exists between the two nations.

In 2012/13, Pakistan last visited India for a three-match T20I series and three ODIs. The last time India played in Pakistan was in 2008 during an Asia Cup held there. No Test series have been played between the two sides since 2007. The deterioration of relations between these two countries has resulted into them playing only at multi-nation events.

Ajmal stated, “Even if there is a match between India and Pakistan on moon, it will be of great significance (huge). There is so much affection that exists among these two countries (India-Pakistan) and we must visit each other’s lands.”
