Gautam Gambhir’s Experiment in Training Session- Hardik Pandya…?

Team India is all set to face Sri Lanka in the first T20I of the 3-match series on Saturday in Pallekele. The whole country is waiting to witness team India performing under the guidance of the new head coach Gautam Gambhir. Since Gambhir is known for his aggressive approach, he will maintain India’s dominance in all the formats of the game.

Before the first T20I, the Men In blue went to the practice ground, where a very unique moment was captured. Hardik Pandya, who is a fast-bowling all-rounder, was seen bowling a leg-spin during the practice.

What’s more interesting is, Pandya imitated the action of India’s legendary spinner Anil Kumble. This left all the fans in shock.

Gambhir’s intense approach will make him a different coach to work along the players, along with having the T20I captaincy of Suryakumar.

Surya’s promotion as captain was a surprise as he took over Pandya for the job. The selectors even ignored his lack of experience as captain.

Ajit Agarkar and Co. made it clear that they wanted a captain who was on the field ‘more often than not’ and went on ‘dressing room feedback’.

On the same metric, Sri Lanka will feel depleted since two of their experience bowlers namely Dushmantha Chameera and Nuwan Thushara have been ruled out due to bronchitis and broken finger respectively.
