Punjab Kings (PBKS) batter Glenn Maxwell had a poor outing with the bat in the ongoing game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Glenn Maxwell, who was back in the Punjab Kings XI after getting dropped, was expected to play a massive role for his team against the Kolkata Knight Riders. However, it wasn’t the case as his horrible outing with the bat in the ongoing edition continued.
Glenn Maxwell, who walked out to bat at number four, looked scratchy right from the start. He looked like a tailender as he was trying too many things, and none of them paid off, and it put pressure on the skipper, Shreyas Iyer, who was at the other end.

Glenn Maxwell played one reverse sweep for four, and it seemed that he would get his mojo back. But that too wasn’t the case as Varun Chakravarthy had his number yet again, and the all-rounder had to walk back without doing any big damage in the match.
Varun Chakaravarthy bowled a flat seam-up delivery, fired in quickly, to which Glenn Maxwell made room to cut and missed. The ball went on to hit the top of the off-stump as it totally outfoxed the Punjab Kings batter, who was disappointed as he walked back.
