The bowler gave a stare to Jaiswal, to which he replied, “Go and bowl”, a blunt response.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jack Nisbet were involved in a cheeky sledging, where the former gave a blunt reply after getting awkward with a well-directed bouncer in the sixth over. Firstly, Jaiswal hit a four off a fuller-length delivery before getting another streaky boundary on the next ball.

However, Nisbet again bowled a nipping-away delivery, and Jaiswal could only get a leading edge but got no runs. The battle started straight away, and Nisbet followed it with a well-direction into the body bouncer, to which Jaiswal couldn’t get away and took a serious blow on his body.

The bowler gave a stare to Jaiswal, to which he replied, “Go and bowl”, a blunt response. It was a statement showing he is ready to cope with any blow and is unhindered by the typical Aussie remarks and aggression, continuing to bat freely even after this blow.

Later, Nisbet again bowled a fuller-length delivery, which Jaiswal placed towards the gully region, and he followed it with another bouncer to end the over. However, the line was slightly erroneous, outside the leg-stump line, and Jaiswal ducked it comfortably, letting it go by to end an eventful over full of aggression and heat.

Yashasvi Jaiswal top-scores 45 runs for India against Prime Minister’s XI

After coming to open in the chase, Yashasvi Jaiswal impressed one and all with his terrific knock against the Prime Minister’s XI. While there were a few hits and misses, he kept battling it out in the middle and showed decent technique.

The start wasn’t as fluent, for the Prime Minister’s XI bowlers bowled in tight areas and tested him. Initially, he played a few rash shots to break the shackles, but Jaiswal batted beautifully to put India well on the track once he was set.

He scored 45 runs in 59 deliveries, including nine boundaries, and showed intent to score runs. He was eventually dismissed by Charlie Anderson in the 17th over but provided a solid start to the Indian team.

He was the top scorer for his side and got the much-needed match practice ahead of the Day-Night Test. Jaiswal will be much prepared for the second game after today’s knock.
