Google and Sunder Pichai drop a massive statement on Jasprit Bumrah, Check out

Mr. Jasprit Bumrah has turned out to be a great savior for Indian cricket in this Border Gavaskar Trophy season, with both bat and ball. Bumrah has thus far taken a total of 18 wickets in the course of this series. On the fourth day of the third Test match in Brisbane on Thursday, Bumrah’s last-minute, unbelievable last wicket partnership with Akash Deep was another one for the history books, as they both struck up an unbeaten, crucial last wicket stand to avoid a follow-on for India. Perhaps, at least for the present time, this partnership has saved the Test for India. Just a day before, Bumrah gave a witty reply regarding India’s batting- with even a name-drop- tech giant Google.

Such series of events brought reactions from Google India and Google Sundar Pichai, who is also an avid follower of cricket.

Just to put things into context, here’s how Bumrah’s conversation goes during a press briefing after the third day’s play on Monday. A reporter asked: “Hi, Jasprit. What is your assessment of the batting, although you are not the best person to answer the question, but what do you think about the situation of the team, considering the conditions in Gabba?”

Bumrah: “It’s an interesting question. But, you are questioning my batting ability. You should use Google and see who has got the most number of runs in a Test over. But, jokes apart. That’s another story.”

Bumrah had scored 35 runs in an over bowled by Stuart Broad of England at Birmingham in 2022.

Google India immediately responded to the reference with the following post on X. “I only believe in Jassi Bhai,” it wrote along with a video of Bumrah’s comment.

Even, Google CEO Sundar Pichai gave an interesting response via a post on X, which has now viral content.

I did Google it:) anyone who can hook Cummins for a six knows how to bat! Well done @Jaspritbumrah93 saving the follow on with Deep!
