Ripley sparked concern after her husband, Buddy Matthews, shared a post on Wednesday indicating that she was in the hospital.
Ripley later addressed the situation on her Instagram, confirming that she suffered a serious gash. She cautioned fans that the image was graphic before revealing that the wound required staples. She wrote,
“Nice little detour to the emergency room for me today.”
