South Korean tech company NAVER has announced a partnership with esports data platform GRID to integrate real-time League of Legends match data into the former’s livestreaming platform CHZZK. The partnership will kick off on April 1 with the start of the LCK season.
During the initial rollout, CHZZK will offer the following features based on live match data from GRID:
- Real-Time Win Probability Graph
- Early-Game Control info
- Match Timeline
In addition to the LCK regular season, GRID’s data will enhance broadcasts for the Mid-Season Invitational and League of Legends World Championship. According to a release, the partners plan to expand to additional leagues throughout the world over time.
Co-streamers will also have access to the integrated data. Co-streaming has become an integral part of the esports broadcast ecosystem. On Twitch, co-streamers frequently generate viewership figures that exceed the numbers from the official publisher-run broadcast.
In 2023, GRID secured an exclusive data partnership deal with Riot Games that covered both League of Legends and VALORANT. Last year, the company also became the exclusive data partner for Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 for ESL Faceit Group events.
