Haji Wright wins PFA Championship Fans’ Player of the Month award for February

Haji Wright’s productive month of February for Coventry City earned him another individual honor this season.

Wright was named PFA Championship Fans’ Player of the Month for February, the club announced Tuesday. The American forward helped the Sky Blues register four wins and one draw in five league matches last month, keeping them atop the Championship table.

Wright scored a hat trick in a 3-1 home victory over promotion challengers Middlesbrough while also finding the back of the net against Sheffield United and Stoke City respectively. A total of eight of Wright’s 17 goals this season have come in 2026, with the in-form forward scoring in three-consecutive matches.

After hitting a dry spell during November and December, Wright has picked his production back up in the new year. He has scored 48 goals for the Sky Blues in all competitions since joining ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Frank Lampard’s men sit on 74 points this season and are eight points clear of Millwall in the race for automatic promotion to the English Premier League.

Wright will hope his productive run of form earns him a call-up to the U.S. men’s national team for upcoming friendlies against Belgium and Portugal.
