Indian bowlers, led by Anureet Singh’s three wickets, kept Pakistan’s run rate in check. India’s chase seemed manageable but started with some setbacks

Openers Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu added 34 runs before Aamer Yamin shifted the momentum by dismissing Uthappa and Suresh Raina, leaving India at 38/2.

Rayudu and Gurkeerat Singh Mann steadied the innings with a 60-run partnership. Rayudu hit a quick 50 off 30 balls, including two sixes and five boundaries. However, Saeed Ajmal got Rayudu out in the 12th over, and Shoaib Malik dismissed Gurkeerat for 34 off 33 balls soon after, leaving India at 108/4.

Yusuf Pathan and Yuvraj Singh then took charge. Pathan scored an aggressive 30 off 16 balls, including three sixes, while Yuvraj played a slower, unbeaten 15 off 22 balls. Their crucial partnership of 42 runs in just 5.4 overs helped India recover.

In the 19th over, Wahab Riaz dismissed Yusuf, leaving India needing seven runs from 10 balls. Yuvraj and Irfan Pathan completed the chase, with Irfan hitting the winning boundary off Sohail Tanvir on the first ball of the final over.
