The cricket sensation played a crucial role in India’s victory at the 2024 T20 World Cup. His performance in the final against South Africa was particularly noteworthy as he defended 16 runs in the last over, securing a seven-run victory for India. Hardik’s tournament stats were impressive, scoring 144 runs at a strike rate of 151.57 and taking 11 wickets at an economy rate of 7.64.
With the retirement of senior players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja from T20I cricket post the World Cup, Hardik Pandya is now seen as the frontrunner for India’s T20I captaincy.
