The Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya was not pleased with the bowling of the medium pacer Penumatsa Venkata Satyanarayana Raju in the ongoing match against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The right-arm pacer Satyanarayana Raju is the new recruit of the Mumbai Indians (MI), and he made his debut against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in his team’s Indian Premier League 2025 opener and bowled just one over, conceding 13 runs.
Hardik Pandya fumes at Satyanarayana Raju
Raju was brought to bowl the 17th over of the first innings when Sai Sudharsan was set in the middle. He started off the over with a wide before conceding a six, bowling wide again and giving away a single.
Then, on the third ball of the over, he bowled a length delivery to Sai Sudharsan, who went across the crease and smashed the ball over deep mid-wicket for an epic six.
Just as Penumatsa Venkata Satyanarayana Raju was walking back after conceding the six, Hardik Pandya pulled him up and was seen scolding him. Also, the former Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma was frustrated with Raju’s bowling.
