“He is a…”Shoaib Akhtar drops a massive praise for Rohit Sharma after his Heroics with the bat against England

Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar supports Rohit Sharma in winning the T20 World Cup 2024. On Thursday, Rohit’s Indian team improved their performance and secured a spot in the final of the big event in the West Indies and the United States. The Indian team, wearing blue, beat Jos Buttler’s England team by 68 runs at the Providence Stadium in Guyana, reaching their third final after 2007 and 2014.

Akhtar mentioned that since Rohit didn’t win the World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup last year, he should win the T20 World Cup. The Rawalpindi Express complimented Rohit for always trying his best and having a strong desire to win. He also called Rohit a ‘selfless’ captain because he focuses on his team’s success rather than his own achievements.

“I always wanted India to win the tournament. Last year, I felt sad when India didn’t win the World Cup because they really should have won. They played well and deserved it,” Akhtar shared on his YouTube channel.

“Rohit Sharma keeps saying he wants to make a difference and win the trophy, so he really should win it. He’s a great player, and it would be fitting for him to win big. He’s a team-focused captain, plays for the team, and is a very skilled batter,” Akhtar explained.

Besides being a good captain, Rohit has been India’s best batsman in the competition. He has played 7 matches and scored 248 runs, averaging 41.33 runs per game and hitting at a rate of 155.97. He has made 3 scores of 50 or more and his highest score was 92 against Australia.

Rohit hopes to keep playing well when India plays South Africa in the final on Saturday at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.
